The majority of the work form the residency was sold privately at the time of the exhibitions. However the painting ‘Winter Fields’, created near the beginning of the project during the residency at Arkwright’s Mill, Cromford, was kept in the artists’ collection until now.
Lewis Noble has donated a painting to the Vickers Award permanent collection. Lewis was the first recipient of the now highly prestigious Vickers Art Award in 2001. He was artist in residence for Derbyshire for the year and held two major exhibitions of the finished work in 2002, held at Derby Museum & Art Gallery and Buxton Museum & Art Gallery.
